We believe that when employees are truly happy and engaged in their work there are many benefits for the individuals and for the organisations too.  We understand that high levels of employee engagement lead to win-win situations at work – individuals have a positive experience of work, a greater sense of wellbeing and satisfaction, and take pride in the quality of what they do; and the organisation achieves the growth and productivity it desires.  We also recognise that engaged employees and increased levels of customer loyalty go hand-in-hand, and that engagement can enhance shareholder value.

Our approach to engagement is to help workers thrive whilst simultaneously addressing outcomes such as commitment, motivation and productivity.  Our methods are informed by the peer-reviewed published research from positive psychology, positive organisational behaviour and positive organisational scholarship, along with recommendations from the Government’s Employee Engagement Task Force.  Specifically, we provide a consultancy and training service to help you increase engagement.  Our services include:

Stress Management and Employee Wellbeing

We believe that helping staff to stay healthy makes good business sense.   This means more than just encouraging them to eat a healthy diet and stick to an appropriate exercise routine.  We know that staff perform at their optimum when they: feel rested;  have the right resources and support to do their job; feel in control; understand what they have to do and why they have to do it; work in harmony with others; are engaged in any proposals for change; and are subject to the right amount of pressure.

In contrast stress arises where there is an imbalance between the demands placed upon them and their perceived ability to cope.  If there is too little pressure they risk ‘rust-out’ and if pressure is excessive they risk ‘burn-out’ – neither is good for the individual or their productivity, and it won’t help the organisation achieve its business goals, retain staff, and maintain a positive corporate reputation.  Plus companies that cause staff to suffer physical or psychological illness are breaching their legal duty of care and risk fines, enforcement notices, litigation, and even imprisonment.

But our approach is not just to help our clients fulfil their duties, reduce and manage the work-stress factors, and minimise the impact of stress on their bottom-line.  We believe in addressing the employees’ responsibilities too.  They have a duty to look after themselves too, which is why we help them develop resilience, boost their confidence, become more optimistic and hopeful, manage their energy levels, and tackle the physical, cognitive and emotional barriers to embodying wellbeing.
